Ranting after late night coffe and cheesecake, ala Golden Girls style

Since I had two and a half cups of coffee tonight, I might as well rant:

1) in case you do not have relatives in Europe like I do, what they do not tell you about the governmental healthcare in Europe is that they can pay up to 50% of their salary in income tax to pay for that sh*t .. a vote for Obamacare will most likely increase your taxes, shouldn't they learn how to balance and spend what they get now before you give more?

2) Make a law that everyone needs to have health insurance like they need car insurance, you either get it or pay $500 at an ER and when health insurance companies compete for your business, like they do car insurance, you can win and your local TV stations get ad dollars :) .... it's not a hard concept people, and if you want birth control covered, it is favored into your premiums like car insurance coverage ... AND perhaps, just perhaps, not tying health care to employers can save employers money that they can in turn use to invest in their employees?

I don't know about you but I'd rather pay for insurance myself and let companies compete than have health care run by the government.
