Aaagghhhh

I had debating things with people about politics.

I think EVERYONE inherently wants to make as much money as possible.
I think EVERYONE wants to help people.
The difference between the right and the left is that the left thinks everyone deserves to be helped  just because, the right wants to help only those that are truly in need.
There is a lot of waste going on right now in government spending.
In welfare. In congressional compensation. Etc.
The left wants to keep spending. The right wants to cut the excess.
Tax payers are not an endless source of revenue.
To some extent, you have to balance a budget with existing revenue that is fair for all and Cut what is not working. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results.
Raising taxes is not the answer again and again.

I know half of my friends disagree with me because you people are too nice and think the world is rainbows and lollipops but health care is NOT a right ... You can not force people to take care of themselves.  You can not force people to diet. You cannot force people to run marathons and workout. People still smoke regardless of knowing it can kill you, men are notoriously known for waiting til the last minute to go the doctor (not because there is a shortage of them or they cannot afford it, they just put it off due to priorities).  People have to take care of themselves for themselves. For you.

Bottomline:  this is a great idea in theory but the country can not afford it right now and has bigger fish to fry.  They need to fix the public school systems first as Education is a bigger priority.
You can have a lot of healthy people but if they are all dumb,  the quality of life there is just sad.

When a man is $50,000 is personal debt. He tries to fix that problem first before he goes and gets into $50,000 more debt.
