Does anyone ever think that had Sarah Palin not been a women, she would not be getting scrutinized in the media ?

Plenty of state Governors have run for President (Clinton, Bush) and why can't a Governor run for VP. A Governor is surely more qualified than Cheney who was a CEO, or CFO, whatever who go in office and gave Halliburton every government contract.
Just because she is the Governor of a small state, doesn't mean she is not doing the work.
Whether you are an attorney at a small law firm or a mega national law firm, you're still an attorney who works and gets a job done. I think Palin balancing the budget of Alaska vs Obama voting present during his Senate term is a huge difference of what the two have done.
Palin has proven performance ... Obama likes to talk and promise.

I was watching the Chicago news recently and they were talking about the city budget woes and how they have to cut a million dollars. The city has already raised our sales tax to 10.25% and there are still budget woes. Someone told me that the city said they planned on the tax being applied to a greater sales amount. Really, city leaders could not figure out that if you raise the city sales tax people would not go out to the 'burbs to buy big ticket items ... the burbs are not that far away, it is easy to do to save 2% in tax.
The main problem in Chicago is the City President Todd Stroger who Barack Obama endorsed.
