Now taking applications to change my life ...

I do not know why I started thinking this.
I am not looking to change my life but I guess anything can happen at any time where I need to keep my options open.

So, I started thinking about how I got to where I am in my life. I can now trace back to my college graduation. It might take some more thinking to go beyond that.

When I graduated college I wanted to work at a TV station in either New Orleans or Baton Rouge. I went on an awesome interview with the #1 station in NOLA and was in the top three candidates but a las, that age old dilemma of them going with someone with work experience over a new grad. How is the new grad to get work experience then? I was bummed for a bit until I went on a road trip to Texas with my sister's friend Kristy Ware. Just wanting to do something fun and drive, I never thought I'd end up where it lead me.

A day trip to Dallas to interview for a job I did not want to move for, just going for interview expperience created a move to Dallas for a job. Sure it might have been a whim for such a change but what the heck does a single 22 year old have to lose after college.
At that job I met two people who possibly helped me in the next life change.

Katie Mellor, another assistant at SP who decided to take a fun trip to Chicago with me and Dan Hunt, one of my favorite Telerep reps (one of them who later introduced me to another fave).
Katie introduced me to a city I could live in and I started thinking about when I needed a change from Dallas, you might remember from the last paragraph, I moved there on a whim, not married to it but I did meet some great people there that I miss.
Dan was one of the only rep firm reps that came to meet his buyer when we started working together to get to know her. (Him and Marc Croghan are the only two, everyone else just met their buyer whenever it happened). Dan and I had a fun repoire', love hate relationship of a buyer seller I am sure but we kept it entertaining. It was Dan Hunt who introduced me to Mark Glasenapp who told me to apply to this agency this Chicago ... and you know how this ends.

4 years later in Chicago after many cab rides, plane rides, and wine & beer with my two favorite SEC alumni ladies, one of them told me I should make a change in my jobs and switch roles. I'd be good at it. I applied and here I am.

I am not sure where I would be if Kristy Ware, Katie Mellor, Dan Hunt, Mark Glasenapp or LeeAnn Baker Kampfer did not make suggestions for me that I listened to or point me in that direction but I have to say Thanks, no mater what trials and tribulations each one of these things lead me into.

I am learning and growing from each life change and having Faith and Hope that one day, the path will be clear on where it all lead me. I cannot wait to see the final map.
