My first Entry

Hi there.

The purpose of my blog, to create a forum where like minded people can vent, express their views, and laugh.

I am an independent, politically speaking. I find partisan politics getting out of hand and would love to hear other peoples views on this. I will not continue my myspace blogs entitled 'What the Hell is wrong with this country?' just yet ... I feel I need a feel light hearted ones before I get to the politician bashing.

First things first,
College football and movies.

1) Movies ... I just saw Step brothers and thought it was so stupid it was funny. I just found the humor kinda crude and expected ... I dont think Ferrell can ever top Anchorman, that might be his peak. I saw a preview for Pineapple Express and was bored. Since when it is cool to be a stoner and a slacker ? Apparently Seth Rogen can do nothing else and is trying to make this popular. I did not like Knocked Up. Yeah it had some funny parts, mainly because of Paul Rudd, now he is good. But if I ever was to get knocked up my Rogen's character I'd prefer to be a single mom ... I just dont do slackers. Hey, perhaps thats a lesson for us all ... don't do slackers.

2) College football ... Being from the south, my allegiance is to the SEC. And for good reason.
Our conference players come best prepared to transition to the NFL. We play a faster game of football. I watch a Big10 game or an ACC game and its like watching pee wee football. The BC-Va Tech game last year bored me. I mean I wanted Tech to win b/c I did not like BC, but it was a slow game. Not what I am used to.

With college football season three weeks away ... I expect to do some weekly blogs on the topic so come back and chat, vent, argue ... this is going to be a great season. A great season !
I can't wait.
