College Football Week 3 ... Ike ... and More

First things First, I'd like to start with prayers for our friends in SE Texas and SW Louisiana recovering from Hurricane Ike. God Bless in your recovery. We got yo back !

This was week 3 in college football world and what have we learned:
AU can win a game only scoring 3 points.
OSU can lose a game only scoring 3 points.
& The media polls should not be allowed until conference play starts for all teams.


I came to a conclusion, routing for someone in the USC-OSU game was like an election, you root for the lesser of two evils.

Georgia gave a less than convincing Top 5 Rank win against South Carolina.

AU was stumped at 3 my MS State who got a safety to stop a low scoring blowout.

OU is praised for another blow out win .... we will see come January, Ha.

There are 5 SEC schools in the Top 10 tonight.
Three of those five are still in non conference play(i think), the other two are mentioned above.
I love my home conference but this is beginning to sound like another bizarre season.
Once we start playing each other it will be interesting to see who stays in there. I hope we all do and OU gets out but that wont happen. Perhaps East Carolina will play USC in the National Championship Game !!! I somehow think ECU might be more deserving of it than OU.


One conversation came up yesterday, who has had better or more players in the NFL, players from Louisiana or Florida. I added in my opinion/theory in progress about UF QB's who do not succeed in the NFL (spurrier, wuerrfel, grossman, ... tebow tba on the conclusion of my research). Aside from QB's, who is the last NFL great from UF ?

From LSU, or Louisiana we got: Kevin Faulk NE, Joseph Addai IND, Laron Landry WASH, Jake Delhomme CAR, Dorsey and Bowe KC, Russell OAK, NE has 3 more I forget. Corey Webster NYG (caught Favre's pass to intercept to get the Giants to the Superbowl last year, yay I remembered that to brag)
Florida does not produce a lot of 1st round picks eh, or even 2-5 round picks at least not recent in the news. Perhaps they study and get jobs with their degree ?!!!!
They may send more defensive players than offensive .. anyone know ?

My opinion is that LA has better football talent. Anyone else have comments ?
