#RaiseEmUp #ParentsDoYourJob

I recently read an article about a school in Oakland, CA that saw that the number of Black children getting suspended is disproprotionate to the other races so the Principal enacted a rule that Black and Hispanic children could not be suspended by the teachers, the principal had to discipline and make decisions for these races. The teachers can still discipline and suspend white and Asian kids.

So, this may be leading to the schools cannot discipline our kids anymore.
So discipline that is not happening at home can no longer happen at schools.
When are these kids going to be disciplined? By society when they break the law?
Will that be too late? Will other innocent victims die to teach this lesson?

Parents, do your job. You are not a friend to your kids. Your kids are not a trophy to post on facebook for likes. Children are to be raised to be come responsible, respectful productive members of society. Children are supposed to see parents as role models to achieve this also.

There is a country song out right now by Keith Urban (American Idol Judge) that says it all.
See the accompanying graphic for further clarification.

So you meet someone
The only one
You take her by the hand
Make a stand
Buy some land
Make some love
And then babies come
Raise em' up
Raise em' up

Raise em' up
Trophy high
Raise em' up
To the sky
Raise em' up
Show everybody that new born smile
Raise em' up
Tall and strong
Raise em' up
Right from wrong
Raise em' up so damn high they can hear God singing along
